King's College - Library

Fine art photography of the Library, King’s College Cambridge presented as part of the large Illuminating Cambridge Libraries series. The Victorian library at King’s College is full of small rooms, corridors, and alcoves – making it quite the photographer’s delight. Also photographed as part of the series was the original library at King’s, set in the side rooms (now, vestries) at King’s Chapel. Some of the original 17th century bookcases remain in situ, and some were repurposed into choir stalls in the chapel (see ‘Repurposed…‘ below). Several photos from this library were shortlisted for Historic Photographer of the Year and for the Int’l Photo Awards.

This photographic collection of the Library at King’s College Cambridge was photographed in 2018 and contains 128 images, a small selection of which are shown below and available as giclee prints in many sizes.

Created and presented with thanks to the librarians and by kind permission of the Provost and Fellows of the College. Click here to learn more about the library.
